Conditions of Hire

1. Hirers of accommodation must appreciate that the acceptance of their deposit creates a contract between them and the owners of the property, and that they become liable for all charges from that moment. Holiday makers are strongly advised to take out the appropriate holiday cancellation insurance.

2. Except where otherwise agreed, all rental periods are from Saturday to Saturday. Hirers may take possession from 3.00 pm on the day of commencement and must vacate by 10.30 am on the final day. This is necessary to give adequate time to clean the cottage.

3. The accommodation must be kept and left in a tidy state and no part of the contents is to be removed from the cottage at any time.

4. Hirers are responsible for any breakages or damages.

5. Neither the agents nor the owners of the property will be liable for any loss or damage to any property or goods belonging to the hirer(s) or any member of their party.

6. Hirers of accommodation must do nothing to make void or voidable any policy of insurance, must not cause a nuisance to neighbours, and must allow the owner and his servants or agents reasonable access. In particular, hirers must ensure that the property is properly secured and locked when they leave it unattended.

7. Should the hirer fail to give up possession at the end of the holiday or leave the accommodation in such a state and condition that it is not suitable for occupation by another hirer, he/she will be liable for the hire charges for that period until it is so available and for any loss or damage that has occurred.

8. If due to any occurrence beyond the control of the owner and his agents, the accommodation is not available as booked, the owner will refund the payment but be under no further liability to the hirer.
